RESULT — NEGATIVE READING ::
This means, under the Australian Government Standards Guidelines, the level of methamphetamine found on the sampled area’s is under the 0.5 μg/100cm2 safe guideline limit and no further action is required. There may be a possibility of lower methamphetamine readings; however, these lower readings, if any, are acceptable and safe according to Australian Government standards.

RESULT — POSITIVE READING ::

Indicating HIGH LEVELS OF TOXIC methamphetamine contamination that are above the dangerous limit of 0.5 μg/100cm2 (as per the Australian Government Standards Guidelines). The property will be considered contaminated by toxic residues from meth use, cross-contamination, manufacturing, and/or a combination.

WHAT IF WE FIND A POSITIVE READING —

OPTION 1 – The property shows high levels of meth contamination, and you decide it’s unacceptable.
You may simply walk away if possible — ideally alerting the owner or agent for the safety of future buyers, tenants, or occupants.

OPTION 2 – Engage a specialist to conduct a detailed laboratory meth assessment, even if contamination is likely. This confirms the extent of toxic contamination and may lead to a decontamination plan.
Results take 3–5 business days and additional costs apply.

A Presumptive Meth (Crystal Ice) Test will identify a – POSITIVE or NEGATIVE – Toxic Contamination Reading, with an average result by combining the results from up to 5 rooms.
